Obituary of Rosemarie Poole

Rosemarie Colangelo Poole, age 90, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late William Lawrence Poole, wrapped in Gods Arms entered eternal rest Sunday morning November 24, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in the Bronx, New York on February 14, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Morano Colangelo.

A retired advertising sales executive for Hometown Publications, Rosemarie enjoyed traveling with her family, was an avid golfer and loved spending time with the joy of her life her canine companion, Winston.

But above all she was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her three devoted daughters, June Boccuzzi and her husband Thomas of Sandy Hook, Joy Figlar of Stratford and Allison Poole of Milford, four cherished grandchildren, Joseph Figlar and his wife Cara, Meredith Evans and her husband Curtis, James Boccuzzi, and Thomas Boccuzzi, two adored great granddaughters, Brooklynne and Daytona Evans, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers and their wives, Felice Colangelo and his wife Mary and Francis Colangelo and his wife Joyce.

We would like to thank our Mother's wonderful caretakers, Shyrell Estaba and Marcia Tyrell. In addition, the caring nurses on the 7th floor West at Bridgeport Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum of the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements in care of the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
