Obituary of Franklin J. Buckingham
Franklin J. "Frank" Buckingham, age, 85, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was the beloved husband of Terry (Segneri) Buckingham. Born in Bridgeport on July 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Franklin H. and Rita (Daley) Buckingham. He was a longtime resident of Trumbull.
Frank was a furniture salesman in Bridgeport for many years before his retirement. As a true salesman, Frank was a people person and developed many long-lasting friendships throughout his life. He was a die-hard New York Yankees fan and watched as many games as he could each season throughout the years. During the summer months, Frank could be found in the yard meticulously tending to his lawn and landscaping and was so proud to have won an award for his unique pool design. Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and all his dogs over the years. Frank was a loving husband and father, a true lover of animals, and a devoted friend to many. He will be missed by all.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife Terry of 51 years. Other survivors include his much loved daughter, Samantha, a sister, Rita Hiotakis, her husband, James, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was and will always be cherished by his surviving dog, Lola, and his grandpup, Zuzu. He was predeceased by his three sisters, Jacqueline Beccia, Nancy Hunt, and Phyllis Libby, and beloved dogs, Rudy, Molly, Morgan, Oliver, Rodney, Alex, and Kaiser.
All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street., Trumbull.
