Charlie was Lake Club Manager for many years. I had the opportunity to work closely with him during my several years as board member for Buildings and Grounds and as vice president. It was a very pleasant experience to deal with Charlie. He was very patient dealing with the different opinions of the members, the Planning and Zoning regulations, the Wetlands restrictions, and the issuance of permits during different projects, especially the last two tennis courts and the design of the swimming pool and vicinity. He was very sensitive to different issues and showed great leadership, with the results that all members have experienced. Most of all, he was a gentleman. The Lake Club was very fortunate to have Charlie as manager for so many years. He will be remembered very fondly by all of us who had the opportunity to meet him and work with him.

Mr. Milot was such a wonderful, patient teacher who knew how to motivate students into believing they could achieve. He was one of my favorite teachers at Center School. My condolences to his family- thank you for sharing him with thousands of students!

All The Regans were pupils of Mr. Milot, and we all loved him and recurrently chatted about him in the half-century and more since our days at Center School.
Three special memories:
- Mr. Milot was kind enough to indulge our frenzied fever for the Knockout Pit, as well as for the winter game of “Kings of the Snow Mountains” (the piles left at the edge of the playground after plowing).
- He arranged and supervised the Saturday morning gym hockey — what a blast!
- He also let us actually climb the ropes to the gym ceiling — impossible today!
God bless his family as he goes to a justly deserved rest.

Though this is terribly sad to learn, what a wonderful life he had ! He was my gym teacher when he first came to Center School, years on we played with Joe Sikorski in his legendary After Five League, I helped him coach baseball at NCHS and fortuitously for me stayed in touch with him until this past Thanksgiving. What a gracious, terrific man he was !! My heartfelt condolences to his wife and large family, I hope he knew (I’m sure he did) what a positive influence he was on thousands of his former students. He was one-of-a-kind, whose ilk we likely will not see again. R.I.P.
