Obituary of Tommy Barreira Pereira

Tommy Barreira Pereira, age 39, of Trumbull, beloved son of Gustavo Pereira and Natalia Barreira Pereira, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 16, 2015. Born in Bridgeport on October 25, 1975, he was a graduate of Central High School. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Antonio Alexandre and Alcina Pereira, and by his maternal grandparents, Jose and Herminia Barreira. In addition to his loving parents, Gustavo and Natalia, survivors include many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends here, as well as in Portugal. Tommy was a brilliant musician, songwriter, poet, and artist. His lifelong dream of becoming an actor was something that he did not see through due to be his extreme shyness. Although shy, his smile and character lit up any room. It is his smile that will continue to live on in the treasured memories of his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Road, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
