My sincere codolences. I was a friend of Fred in his "wild" days and also a fellow sober friend. He had a good heart and was a good guy. I'll always have fond memories of "Farkle" which was his nickname when we were at the University of Miami.
Regards to all his relatives. I'm sorry to say I never met his son. Adios Freddy!

Fred has been a friend for at least 5 years. We met at a NET seminar. He was to become one of my greatest healers and mentors. He had an open heart and you felt it. He never judged and loved fearlessly. He was a wise, kind and gentle soul that gave of himself unselfishly. There isn’t a day that goes by that don’t think of him and his teachings. I will miss him so very much.

Fred has been a dear, close friend for almost 30 years. His spirit was and is one of determination, courage and compassion. He was a true healer. Throughout his life there were many challenges and victories. Fred took them all in stride. My father always said that half of wisdom is knowing what not to do - that would make Fred one of the wisest men I have ever known. He was always generous in sharing inspirational cards and pendants as a remind that life is full of possibilities and adventure. A book should be written entitled The Travel Adventures of Fred Richards. I will miss Fred but when we spent time together this past July we agreed that we are always together and meet in the eternal field. “The field beyond wrong doing and right doing” as Rumi's poem spoke of. When we lie down in that field of grass we are full, fulfilled, complete. This world of oneness is beyond language, separation and want. It is simply the place of miracles and unconditional love. Blessings to you Fred on the next part of your eternal adventure.

I met Fred sometime in the mid 1960s and we stayed in touch throughout our lives. Fred was an all American character, kind, thoughtful and gentle. In our wild and crazy days, we had many adventures, including one time when Fred, his late brother Brooks and I drove back north from Miami in one of Fred's rocket ship cars. I have a vague memory of sitting in the back most of the way with a case of Busch beer. When Fred settled down, got married and focused on the healing arts, he truly seemed to have found his niche. We chatted up every so often and Fred would always ask about what was going on in my life and he'd close with "Give my best to Donna," my wife. Fred and I shared many laughs over Indian food in later years, and I will miss him, and those days.

I met Fred as a classmate at King School (class of '66). He had a big heart and casual attitude. He could light up a room with his beaming smile as he would lead me and his friends off to some mischievous undertaking. Even when I was unable to see him, I would always ask about him. I would have liked to have spent more time with him through the years, although my first impressions of Fred attending King School have lasted and will not be forgotten. Thanks, Fred, I know you have touched many other people, as well.

I've known Fred from when he was 7 and I was 5. He and his siblings, especially his brother my best friend Brooks, encapsulated my youth. He was like an older brother who looked after both Brooks and me, as well as Chris and Elly. We reconnected through his efforts about 20 years ago and by doing so he brought a great deal of joy and delight when we'd talk on the phone or get together. He was so very kind and thoughtful-we will miss him and are saddened by his passing. It is a terrible loss for all of us-Fred will be missed but never forgotten.

I knew Fred and Brooks and all the rest of the family best in our teenage years - the pretty girls -- the fast cars -- cold beer -- and a touch of smoke. Through all the troubles he faced, some of his own making he never stopped smiling never stopped being your friend -- Rock on man .

I am an old friend of the family and Fred was like an older brother to me. He had not a mean bone in his body. He took care of his "younger brothers" that's hard to explain in words at this moment. Fred, thank you for everything and may you find a great life in the here after. Dick Z.

I got to know Fred in 2005 when we were part of the Home Run Practice program with Scott Walker. With each passing seminar, I got to know Fred better and better. He was such a wonderful guy, always had a smile, always ready to help in any way he could. When I heard the news of his passing, my heart sank and the tears flowed. I knew that we lost a great warrior in the natural health field.
So Fred, my prayer is that you are in a better place with no more earthly ailments, and until we meet again, know that I'm a better person for having known you. Love ya, brotha. -Frank Segreto, DC
